A penny for your thoughts New challenge

Happy new year to all my friends,

I wish you all a wonderful 2024 and may it treat you with kindness. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas or holiday time with family and friends, or just enjoying some quiet and relaxing moments.

The first challenge of 2024 from Let's Craft and Create is anything goes, with the option ..A penny for your thoughts..(use a sentiment). If you check out the challenge you will see some amazing projects by the DT for inspiration, so I do hope you will join in this challenge. There is a prize as well and you have a whole month to play.

As with the past few years, I am still trying to use up my stash and also to use some older dies and stamps.

The stamp is a very old Hero Arts stamp that I coloured with Pan Pastels and cut out with a seldom used nesting die.

I added a strip of ribbon under the sentiment, but it doesn't show up much on the photo.

I will be entering it in some challenges.

The Crafty Addicts #9 ...Anything goes

Elliebelle's Corner ..Wednesday challenge ..             Anything goes

Elliebelle's Corner I spy with my little eye ... something old.

I do hope that where ever you are you are enjoying your crafting and looking forward to a year of many interesting challenges..crafty speaking.

We are into summer, but I think the seasons are very confused. We had extreme heat and some rain in November and now that summer season is upon us it is a lot cooler and no rain...Oh well, nothing to do but enjoy whatever comes.

Have fun, take care and keep well

New challenge with a vintage feel

 Hi friends,

The last challenge of this year is up at Let's Craft and Create and it is the usual Anything goes, but with  the option is to have a Vintage feel.

There are some really lovely cards on the challenge blog, so please hop on over and feast your eyes.  Also a lovely gift card prize, so worth coming to join in this challenge with a whole month to post your entries and remember you can enter up to 3 times.

So from me it is another Christmas card as these are very useful at the moment. I have also made a different fold for a change.

I have used 3 different papers all from my "paper collection" and they are a few years old.

The Christmas tree is cut with a Marianne Designs die that has been in my collection for many years.

I positioned the paper so that the words on the middle section "Star of Wonder" are just in line with the star on the tree.

Entering the following challenges:

A perfect time to craft  #12-2023 ...Anything goes

Crafts Galore Encore  #118 ...Anything goes

Merry little Christmas #53 ...Anything goes

The Holly and the Ivy Christmas challenge #153 ..Anything Christmas goes

Unicorn challenge #93 ...Christmas

I hope wherever you are in the world you are keeping well and safe. There is so much happening that is not good and I think of those suffering in any way especially at this time of the year.

I hope that you will be able to spend some time with family and friends and that you are keeping warm in the cold climatic areas, and if you are in the Southern regions that the weather is bearable, as we are having some extreme heatwaves and no rain, so not very comfortable.

Take care friends, stay safe and well. Look out for one another and remember to share a smile.

Love..Ursula xxx

Let's Stitch for the new challenge

 Hello makers,

November has crept up on us and there is a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create asking us to do some stitching this month as an option, though anything goes  always  counts.

If you hop on over to the blog you will see some great projects for inspiration, so please go and leave the DT some love and join in the fun this month.

I decided to start my Christmas cards, so some stitching worked well I used a spirelli idea. The diecut is from one of my sets and used green cotton thread for the design...so easy and a lovely idea.

The Christmas tree in the centre is a peel-off decorated with small gemstones.

The sentiment is stamped and embossed with gold.

Some more peel-offs to decorate the corners.

I am entering the following challenges:
Gem of a challenge #22 ...Anything goes
Crafty Calendar challenge .. November, Anything goes
Creative Fingers challenge #265 ... Anything goes
Creative Inspiration challenge #8 ... Anything goes

I hope you are all well wherever you find yourselves, and that you are enjoying the change of seasons. We are into spring, but have had some rather cold "wintery weather" hopefully we will be back enjoying some spring/summer weather again soon.

Take care, Love,

Ursula

Still trying to use up my stash I have a fairly CAS card again this month.

I coloured my cardstock layer with Pan Pastels, as I seem to be running out of some colours....a good thing I think, and coloured the paper flowers with the same brush.

Let's use stripes and dots

 Hello everyone,

We are now well into the second half of the year, and I for one am looking forward to some warm weather. I know spring is not too far away here in the Southern Hemisphere but this is the coldest winter we have had for a while and I have now had enough.

Well, as it is a new month, we have a new challenge at Let's Craft and Create As always it is anything goes with an option of using dots and or stripes.  The DT have made some gorgeous projects for inspiration, so head over and feast your eyes.

There is a small prize for the lucky winner and you have a whole month to enter, but don't delay too long.

I have used everything from my scraps box and my stash

I rounded all the corners of the papers and cut  out the teddy image.

The embossing folder is a Cuttlebug folder purchased many years ago and I added a  little charm.

I will enter the following challenges:

My Time to Craft  #513 ...Shades of Blue

The Crafty Addicts  #04 ... Anything goes

A perfect time to craft  #08 ...Anything goes

A new challenge with flowers

Happy July to everyone

If you are in warm areas, enjoy. If you are in cold areas..like me..warmer weather will be here soon, I hope.

I am a few days late with my post as the new challenge at Let's Craft and Create started this week. It is always  Anything goes, but this month the option is to add flowers...so pretty.  The design team have made some really stunning projects for inspiration, so please hop on over and leave them some love.

For my contribution I have gone with a CAS card this month, still using my stash.

Embossed a section of card for the top layer and I used a selection of dies and punches to make the flowers from a range of offcut pieces in my stash box.

Just zinged them up a bit with pearls for the centres.

A stamp for the sentiment.

I will enter some challenges.

Let's Craft and Create April challenge

 Hello makers,

We are well into the month of April and I am late with my blog for the new challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Technology is fantastic but when things go wrong then we have a problem,  suffice to say my internet is functioning well again so here I am.

The theme as usual is Anything goes, but you have the option of using pink and gray on your projects. If you go over to the challenge post you will see some fantastic ideas from the Design team for inspiration. I do hope you join us, as there is even a small prize up for grabs.

I have used paper from my stash and it is pink and grey in real life, not blue as on this photo.

The stamp is a Papermania from DoCrafts....a very old one.

I added some pearl dots but they don't seem to show too well.

The sentiment is a die cut.

I will enter it in some challenges.

Thank you for visiting here and hope to see you again soon.

Take care and be safe......Hugs ..... Ursula
