Good morning everyone,

My card was made with the image 'Roses" and I used the colours smooth pink, lovely lavender and gentle white.

I coloured the image with my old faithfulls..Distress inkpads and added a touch of glitter.

Cut and embossed a corner with a Marianne Design Creatable die ..a rose

Mounted the image over a doily cut with a Marainne Design Creatable.

The flourish is also a MD die.

Bags and tags

Happy Friday friends,
This week over at Crafty Catz the challenge #208 is Bags and tags, and the sponsor for this week is Digistamps4Joy. I am lucky to be the GD for this challenge and this is my project.

My bag was made from a sheet of scrapbooking paper ...Paper Reverie by Making Memories. Just loved the gold polka dots.  (I will give details of how to make it at the end of this post)
Image ..I used 2 images 'Misteri's new shoes' and a set 'shoes' There are 4 shoes in the set and these can be found HERE
all were coloured with distress inkpads and I added some shine and bling to the shoes.
Cut the main image with a die cut matted onto black card, and then cut the shoes out with fancy scissors and matted those onto black as well.
The tag is also a diecut from Marianne Designs, matted onto the reverse side of the DP and the sentiment is a DoCrafts stamp.

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THE BAG   using a sheet of paper 30 x 30cm.
(Sorry I just noticed that I have given all measurements in cm and the scored lines are the dashed lines...no red lines I see)
I do hope these instructions make sense. Not sure how  to do something like this. If there are any queries please email me.

I am going to enter some challenges with this.

Hot off the press....DS4J new releases

Good morning friends on a beautiful Sunday morning here in South Africa.

Today there are again some lovely new digi images released at  Digistamps4Joy and if you go to the blog you will be able to see the lovely cards made by some of the DT for your inspiration.

I decided to make a side step card this time. using the image Mini Misteri bearing gifts

Here is what I used.

Image is coloured with Distress inkpads and cut out.
The holly leaf background paper was made by putting a stencil through the cuttlebug and then going over the stencil with distress inks before removing it. I highlighted the berries with a Pontura pearl maker. I did the same with the star using a star stencil.
The printed paper is Christmas cottage by Teresa Collins
The star and Christmas tree are Marianne Design dies
Finished off with a sentiment mounted on a gold and green punch out.

Will enter the following challenges.

DS4J Challenge #80 with stitching

Happy Wednesday morning everyone,
A beautiful fresh, clear skies kind of morning. Had some much needed rain yesterday evening, lucky the hail stayed small and only lasted a very short while. More rain is forecast the next few days...so living in hope.

This week I am very fortunate to be hosting the challenge at Digistamps4Joy. The theme I chose is stitching, and before you all throw your hands up in horror at the thought of needle and thread or hauling out the sewing machine....ANY KIND of stitching is acceptable, even faux stitching. So I really do hope you will ALL come and join in the fun this fortnight.
You don't have to use a DS4J image, but of course if you do you will get an extra chance in the draw,
I hope you will come and join in this challenge and show us your lovely creations...any papercraft projects are welcome with an image, digi or stamped.

The DT have made some wonderful cards for your inspiration and I hope you will pop over and see them.

This is the card I made using the image..corset and frills.

I coloured the image with distress inks and highlighted the stitching on the corset with a glitter pen. You can find it  HERE
Paper is from a Vintage pad by Marianne Design
The die cut is a Marianne design die, I have had for a little while and not yet used. But I just love it so you will see it more often.
The corner die is from Joy crafts..Noor design.
Sentiment is a freebie from  A Piece of Heart
I machine stitched on 2 corners, but it is lost a little, should have done it all round. I just wished my machine would co-operate and do some zig-zag on my cards.
Finished of with a bow, and pearls.

Am entering it in some challenges:
 Anonymous Stamps challenge Nov....Anything goes
Craft-Dee Bowz...Anything goes with a handmade bow
Artistic Inspirations #67...Use a sentiment

Sugar Creek Hollow challenge #73...Anything Vintage
That's me done for today, need to catch up on some housework, all those chores I have been putting off, and then maybe a play with some new stamps I got...will post a card or two.

Have a great day, downhill to the weekend now. Take care,
Love Ursula

Just glitter it.

Good  Morning friends,
This post is a little late in going out, as we had a storm last night with lots of lightning and so all the electronics were disconnected. I went to bed before we could put it all back, so I am a few hours late.
We had some very welcome rain with it, so am very grateful for that.

On to my project. The theme for challenge #83 at Let's Craft and Create this fortnight is Glitter.
As Christmas is getting closer and I am way behind in my cards and tags I decided to go for a Christmas tag this time.

This is what I used:

The tag was cut out of normal cardstock. I wanted a large one, as it will be used instead of a card on a gift. I Inked the edges and added embossing powder in places.
The lantern was cut out of mirror board...a Marianne design die.
The candle was brushed with pearl paint and the flame with gold glitter..also a Marianne design die.
Poinsetia is a Joycraft die,..all glittered.
Leaves are a Nellie Snellen punch.
Added a ribbon bow, floral stamens and a button to finish.

I just find it very difficult to photograph using mirror board.

Will be back to enter some challenges later.
Love to Scrap challenge #17...Anything goes
Make my Monday challenge...Anything but a card - Christmas style
Sparkle and Sprinkle Creative challenge Nov. ...Anything goes with glitter, embossing powder and/or Flocking

Colour challenge with a difference .........

Good afternoon my friends.
Firstly, I want to say a big welcome to my new followers. So pleased that you find some inspiration here, and hope you will come  back often.

Now on to business. This week there is something very NEW and exciting at the colour challenge of The Outlawz.
Ina chose the lovely colour palette and inspirational photo this week.   Now this is how it works.

There is only one colour shown, and that is the colour you have to use together with 2 colours chosen from the photo. You determine your own twist.    Now isn't that just something.  When entering your card, you need to tell us which are the 2 colours of your choice and also what your twist is.
You can go and see the cards that DT have made, and the twist they chose...this was such fun!!

Our sponsor this month is QKR Stampede and some of the DT have used images from them.
I do hope you will make something and come and share with us.

Here is what I did.

My choice of colours was the purple and then I added turquoise and white.
The twist is to add ribbon.

Paper from a pad by Art Talent.
Turquoise and white flourishes ...Memory box die
Image from QKR called Fruit corner. Coloured with Distress inkpads, cut out and raised with silicone.
Added pearls and a bow which is the ribbon twist.

I am entering the following challenges:

Happy Wednesday morning friends.
We are halfway through our challenge #79 at Digistamps4Joy
whish is hosted by our talented DT member Charlene. She has asked us to use 3 DP and 3 layers on our card.

The paper all comes form a pack Country Companions by DoCrafts. I matted each design with a pink cardstock.

The image is Rose Regalia, drawn by Margy and can be found  HERE. This time I coloured with twinkling H20's and added a touch of glitter to the bow, to match the glitter on the checked layer of paper.
I followed the Deconstructed sketch #125 for this card, just turned it on its side.
DS125I stamped onto the ribbon for a change and added pearls.              No sentiment, will decide on that when I know where the card is going.
I hope you will go and check out the cards made by the DT and come and join in . Remember that you don't have to have a DS4J image to join in, but if you do then you get and extra chance in the draw.
